Few days ago, the South East Governors under the aegis of South East Governors Forum disturbed the peace of the nation with a press release that appeared to agree with the present political impasse in the country created by the absence of Yar’ Adua. The south East Governors made themselves the laughing stock of the world with the announcement of their unanimous satisfaction terming the condition of the President fit to continue to rule the nation.
What is ironical here is that the statement issued by the Governors puts their resolution at conflict with the elders from the region and indeed their socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo which covers Ndigbo at home and
