Nigerian Politics - CRY, THE BELOVED COUNTRY. BY PAT ASAKOME

In the days of apartheid government in South Africa the eyes of Allan Paton, welled up in floods of tears, so much so that in solitude, he wrote his very thoughtful novel, "CRY, THE BELOVED COUNTRY". The same tears have drained through the entire Africa, even when there is no more apartheid, no more colonialism, no more neo-colonialism, not even the dreaded imperialism from people, other than Africans. Yet the whole continent is crying today that the so-called evils perpetrated by foreign colonizers so many years ago are now being replicated and unleashed on Africans by Africans on a higher scale by impunity.
